Cheetah Clean Auto Wash

In the 1940s, my Great Grandfather Gillon Fields and Great Grandmother Ila Malinda Claywell Fields opened Field’s Cleaners a local dry cleaning business that was located at 1117 Broadway. My Grandfather Glenn Fields and Grandmother Mary Alicia Webb Fields opened Bowling Green’s first conveyor car wash about 20 years later(1960s) called, The Red Carpet Car Wash. That car wash was located on the same site as the current Cheetah Clean Car Wash at 941 31 W Bypass.

My father Geoff Fields and wife Mary Alice Fields have built over 100 car washes nationally. In 1988, he started Tender Touch Auto Wash, where I worked after school and during the weekends growing up. From 2001-2005 my position changed from working there to being General Manager of the car wash. We now design and build our own car wash equipment.

In 2007, my business partner and I built the first Cheetah Clean in Owensboro, where we washed over 12,000 cars a month. A few years later, I was able to expand the successful Cheetah Clean brand into Bowling Green where my family’s car wash history began.

– Jeff Fields, Owner of Cheetah Clean Auto Wash
