Position SummaryThe Residential Service Technician is a troubleshooter and service expert who is responsible for alleviating concerns the customer may have regarding a security system. The Residential Service Technician advises customers and the customer care center of the status of systems and processes inspections. 

  • Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring. 
  • Readjust equipment, repair or replace inoperative equipment and test for operation. 
  • Read blueprints, building and electrical plans in order to complete equipment repairs. 
  • Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs. 
  • Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
Requirements:

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience installing and inspecting/repairing ADT or comparable product line.

    =         Know the biology and be able to identify termites and other pests – their habits and control measures employed by the company. Know proper treatment methods.  When required by state regulatory agencies, must be able to pass any exams when required to do so as to be at all times properly certified to perform the sales function.

    =         Systematically perform those inspections on an “as-needed” basis and when called upon by your service center manager or a potential client. Graph the results of the inspection when necessary for treatment or disclosure for WDO Reports.

    =         Schedule appointments with clients/potential clients; receive “leads” from office personnel and contact the customer within 24 hours of the call, or as soon as possible after receiving the request. (Inability to do same should be brought to manager’s attention).

    =         Graphs must include all correctly stated pertinent information: linear footage, construction type, conducive conditions apparent, previous or active infestation, etc.

    =         Proposals (attached to graphs) should be executed in accordance with company policy. Proposals should be presented to the potential client in person whenever possible – all questions should be answered and addressed at the time of proposal.  The duty is to sell business based on customers’ need and knowledge

    =         Quote price, (under company guidelines), obtain consent of customer and schedule service.

    =         Complete Business Daily Activity Report (BDAR) daily and strive to exceed daily target, report to appropriate management.

    =         Service orders must be signed and dated before the work is performed.

    =         Paperwork must be legible, accurate, in accordance with standard treatment procedures, in accordance with all company policies and procedures for treatment and compensation, pertinent to all state and federal regulations and complete before scheduling the job.

    =         Attend all service center training meetings and avail oneself of all training and sales literature provided by Arrow.

    =         Attend all service center training meetings or other specialized training and read all training material to include quarterly continuing education training for Household Pest Control (HPC) and Wood-Destroying Organisms (WDO).

    =         Present oneself in a professional manner.


    • Develop contacts within the community for potential selling of new business. (Leads provided by the office are augmented by the salesperson providing their own leads)

    • Be knowledgeable of home construction and building techniques.

    • Prepare and participate in Realtor meetings, Building and supplier meetings, and other community sponsored meetings conducive to attaining new business for the company.

    • Be able to perform the treatment as prescribed.

    • Maintain a driving record consistent with Company policy. If driving a Company vehicle, must have no more than 2 moving violations within a 12 month period, and no DUI along with other Company policy requirements.

    • Go over treatment procedures with the person(s) responsible for following your instructions prior to the treatment.

    • Perform inspections for and execute “Clearance Letters”, closing and/or report documents as required by real estate contracts. Accurately report findings on the document and complete all areas of the report.

    • Make arrangements for the collection of money resultant from your sales efforts.

    • Expect to work outside normal business hours on a routine basis to meet with customers, sell services and obtain contracts for services.

    • Expect to spend the majority of your day away from the office cultivating leads, developing relationships and making sales.

    • Comply with all company policies, procedures and guidelines.

    • Perform other duties as required by management.

    • May assist in training of new employees

    • Will be required to complete continuous education

    Requirements:  

    =         Able to identify termites and other common pests

    The Network Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining smooth operations of all Credit Union networks, systems, applications and end user systems. This position supervises the network/help desk staff providing daily direction and support to meet the operational goals. Responsible for diagnoses and resolution of complex connectivity and network issues, and monitors system security, backup, and virus protection. Evaluates, recommends, and implements network software and hardware, and assists in the development of IT strategies, policies, and DR planning. Maintains professional business relations with associates, members and outside contacts. Keeps management well informed of area activities.  Supports and promotes the Credit Union’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Installs, configures, tests and maintains servers, SAN, and related networking equipment.

    • Monitors scheduled jobs and computer output for completeness, accuracy, and errors.

    • Performs all critical data backups and secures data according to established procedures.

    • Installs firmware and security updates on servers, printers, and related networking equipment.

    • Configures and maintains Microsoft Active Directory.

    • Installs, configures and maintains IPS/IDS, Firewall, Anti-Virus, Anti-Spam, Anti-Malware, etc. for maximum internal network protection.

    • Maintains Unified Communications, VoIP, and any related equipment, services, and platforms.

    • Troubleshoots and resolves issues with ATM and related equipment, Home Branch (Internet Banking) and Mobile services.

    • Maintains all data used for redundancy efforts and assists with remediation efforts as result of test findings and risk assessments.

    • Logs all computer, terminal, and printer hardware/software problems. Calls appropriate maintenance organizations and arranges for repair. Notifies supervisor of unusual problems.

    • Performs software upgrades and installations.

    • Creates scripts for automation of common tasks.

    • Provides support to operational staff and other Credit Union associates as needed.

    • Tests and evaluates software and hardware for reliability and functionality.

    • Procures and implements new software and hardware systems.

    • Develops processes to improve network reliability and proposes solutions to meet the future needs of both the Company and clients.

    • Evaluates and recommends standards for hardware and software operations in all Company systems. Locates and implements new products as needs arise.

    • Provides suggestions in the development of IT strategies and policies.

    • Assists the CTOO in developing and maintaining the Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Plans along with maintaining the DR site and testing the plan.

    • Establishes work assignments to meet the needs of the department and to effectively serve associates.

    • Provides leadership to personnel through effective objective setting, delegation and communication. Conducts staff meetings as required and informs personnel of policy and procedure changes. Discusses areas needing improvement.

    • Ensures personnel are well trained, effective, and optimally utilized. Identifies training needs and develops appropriate training programs. Conducts training sessions and cross-trains as appropriate.

    • Performs performance appraisals on staff members to ensure adequate performance.

    • Performs such other duties as may be required from time to time for the overall management and operation of the Credit Union.

    Educational/Experience Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in CS or CIS, or related field.

    • CCNA certification preferred.

    • MCSA certification preferred.

    • 5 years of similar or related experience.

    • 2 years of managerial or supervisory experience.
