Specific Duties

1. Manage day-to-day operations of the housing services department in conjunction with the Director of Housing Services

2. Provide direction and supervision to housing staff in the absence of the Director of Housing Services.

3. Recruit safe, adorable, decent, and accessible housing opportunities for participants.

4. Assist with case management, referrals to mainstream benefits and resources and housing search and placement, establishing goals, and providing education on renter responsibilities

5. Coordinate delivery of items to housing units.

6. Coordinate with local resources to secure furniture and household items for new housing units

7. Develop employment resources for program participants and coordinate resources and referrals for career development

8. Complete required documentation in accordance with grant expectations including completing daily service notes

9. Compile and report statistical information on participants as required by local, state, and federal funding sources

10. Provide consultation to staff in areas of housing advocacy and home ownership

11. Increase knowledge of federal homeless and housing policies

12. Assist housing clients with SOAR referrals and implementation

13. Adhere to agency on-call policy, and be available to provide shelter coverage in the absence of regular shift coverage, to include holidays and weekend schedules

14. Attend inter-agency housing related meetings and promote the mission of this agency

15. Attend all required trainings and staff meetings

16. Perform all other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Requirements

Required Qualifications

= At least 18 years of age

= Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

= Bachelor’s degree in business or human service field or equivalent experience

= Knowledge of the rights of homeless individuals, housing rights, availability of housing and fair housing laws

= Commitment to adhere to the Member Program Service Standards of the Kentucky Coalition Against Domestic Violence

= Complete Certified Domestic Violence Advocate program

= Valid Kentucky driver’s license and proof on vehicle insurance

= Submit to criminal background check(s)

Schedule and Pay

This position starts at $18.50 per hour plus our comprehensive benefits package.

The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm. Flexibility in work schedule is available
